The Midweek Meander & Links to Loveliness

Why my husband will never understand my home decor, if Summer were a dress this would be it, pink Zellige tiles to die for, and my favourite collection of lovely links yet (I've bought half the items)

There have been times during my marriage that I’ve found it challenging (putting this mildly by the way) to be married to someone who has very little vision when it comes to home decor. There is a bluntness to my words, I know, but really he would not disagree with me on this particular point, readily accepting that his interest in interior design extends no further than whether he can comfortably fall asleep in front of the TV.

Over the years, and three house moves, there have been many, many disagreements about plans and projects for our home, where money should be spent, where it shouldn’t be spent, and why anything ever needs changing at all (his standpoint, not mine), with much eye-rolling and muttering choice words under our breath on both of our parts. I am forever thinking of the next decor scheme, whereas my husband would happily sit in a white box for all eternity, as long as he had a comfy sofa - the colour matters not - and somewhere to put up his feet (no fancy footstool needed, a sturdy box will suffice for this fella). There are some projects (admittedly, some riskier than others) which he likes *tolerates* but then there are others which have really tested us as a couple…
